Programs and services

Anchor Housing Stabilization

Participants receive guided support with housing navigation and the steps that typically stop applications from moving forward. This includes document readiness, application organization, communication support, and practical planning so housing progress continues week to week.

  • Housing applications and documentation support
  • Housing search guidance and next-step planning
  • Communication and follow-up support
  • Stabilization planning after placement

Safety planning

For participants who are not in safe living situations, we support structured safety planning that prioritizes the participant’s choices, privacy, and immediate needs. Safety planning can include safe contact methods, crisis contacts, and step-by-step exit planning when needed.

  • Immediate safety assessment and planning
  • Safe communication plans
  • Resource navigation and referrals
  • Stabilization planning to reduce future risk

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For NYC services, call 311.

Education and advancement

We support educational pathways that expand long-term options. That can include GED placement and study planning, college applications, and guidance on training programs that align with a participant’s goals.

  • GED placement support and study planning
  • College application guidance
  • FAFSA and financial aid basics
  • Career pathway and training exploration

Workshops and life skills

Workshops are practical and action-based. Participants build systems they can keep using, including routines, budgeting habits, and skills that make housing and employment more sustainable.

  • Computer essentials and digital organization
  • Resume building and interview practice
  • Nutrition, meal planning, and budgeting
  • Stress management, routines, and emotional regulation
  • Tenant basics and maintaining housing

Weekly ILP meetings and one-on-one support

Each participant works with a coordinator to develop an Individualized Living Plan. Weekly ILP meetings focus on clear goals, measurable steps, and follow-through. One-on-one support is tailored to each person’s needs and can include referrals, navigation help, skill coaching, and accountability.
